It's winter! Christmas was fantastic! I finished my apron right on time and enjoyed the holidays. Massive amounts of snow last night, so cleaned of the cars and snow-blowed the driveway with Mickey and his dad. Mickey moved my car to the top of the driveway so we could clear the area. Damn front-wheel drive, almost couldn't get the car up the drive. My next car will most definitely be four-wheel.
That's it for now. Waiting for the New Year to come along!

Consignment

So I brought a few things to Off The Hanger boutique in Plymouth to see if I could get anything for them. I went in with pants and purses, all of which were gifts or bought with gift cards. I was happy enough to sell one pair of pants and one giant purse for $7.50, and was told to bring a few other items back in the spring! Yay, I have officially sold two items locally. I think I will put a few other things up on eBay and see what happens
I have decided to repurpose a few pieces in my wardrobe. My white dress from senior prom I'm going to dye a light yellow and hem the skirt, add some alterations and hopefully I'll have something I'll wear more than once! Now I have to get back to my Grandmothers sewing machine an practice up before I tackle that though. Need to get my stitching straighter. I also have a long, purple bridesmaids dress of my mums with a strange stain on the skirt. I really have no idea what I'll do with it but I'll give it a shot.
My boyfriend pushed me off my food goals by choosing Burger King for lunch (I still feel a little sick) but I stuck with the chicken! And I had such a good two-day roll going too... It's not all bad though, I saw my friend Katie O. and hopefully we'll get together this winter vacation!
I have also started my college essay which will probably end up being more of an introspective piece since I choose my own topic. So I pick My First Year In College: The Hellish Nightmare Of Doom! (it's only the working title)
So here's wishing myself good luck!

The Consignment Thing
So I'm sticking with my consignment idea, digging through my pants mostly and some handbags. God knows I have many of them laying around. I'm really digging the notion of buying any "new" clothing from preloved stores and boutiques.

You can find so many unique things that way and I really do love the vintage look. It makes me feel like people think I want to be a hipster but so what? I like the look and I'll go about it the way one should, without buying everything from Charlotte Russ (I do love that store though).
I've also put myself on, not so much a diet, but an intake constriction. Only eating at breakfast and when I feel hungry enough to eat, and STICKING to portion recommendations. Four or five small meals a day! I can already feel myself dying a little...

The Green Things
I decided to pick this up again and give it another shot. Hopefully this won't turn into my flossing regiment (on again off again for a few months at a time... bad me!)So here it goes!
I have decided to attempt going green thanks to this book.

I started reading it in the spa lounge at Opeechee Inn and it was very compelling... I am also afraid of make-up now. But i digress... I have decided to cosign or donate my old clothing and buy pre-loved garments to supplement my wardrobe from here on out! I also want to plant my own garden this coming spring and stay away from harmful chemicals. Healthy eating will be quite the challenge, lets see if i can kick my ramen addiction. Had what was hopefully my last bowl today (and there's a whole twelve-pack sitting in my pantry at dads) I may have to start eating it healthily as an alternative! veggies, homemade flavoring, the whole nine yards! It's that damn MSG that I can't quite.

I'm also looking for a new job. Putting in applications anywhere from the Humane Society to the Black Bear Lodge. Still looking around, any ideas?
Also working on my art as much as I can stand to. Some painting, some charcoal, but mostly just sketching away and looking for ideas. Have to get a portfolio together for my transfer application. It's proving a bit difficult as it's a lot easier to break your own deadlines than others.
Well here's wishing me luck! With all of my endeavors!

The Work Things
Been super crazy busy with work and boyfriend and life lately. Sunday I was in around noonish till closing time; Monday I suffered through a twelve hour day, six thirty until six forty-five (super fun); and yesterday I opened yet again. Taking my wednesday off I did absolutely nothing. Most interesting thing that happened today was my cat coming home from the vet and watching her try to jump up on things with one leg in a full cast (forest green is so not her color). So Now I ready myself for bed and the potential eight hour day I face tomorrow starting at six. Unless it rains too much, then I don't have to do shit :) Happy day.
Friday I have plans for an oceanside picnic with the Boyfriend. We will be navigating the treacherous highway to York Maine in the Morning with the intention of sunbathing and swimming in that hopefully sunny and warm beach.

The Dead Things and Sim Things
I think we should designate a "Dead Things" shovel. I say this because my cat is quite an adept hunter, even though she doesn't have claws. I don't really want to step outside, enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face, and feel squishy mouse guts and maggots between my toes! To correct that horrible situation I found a plastic shovel and flung the dead little critters into the ditch. I know that this will happen very frequently over the summer so perhaps we should have a "Dead Things" Shovel on hand at all times.
On another note, the Sims 3 Ambitions was officially released yesterday and I am practically gushing in anticipation. I was finally starting to get bored with World Adventures so this couldn't have come at a better time. I wonder if they do that on purpose...

The Camera
I have decided to actually go outside this summer and do a few outdoorsy activities. Maybe some hiking, camping, picnicking, and definitely swimming at the ocean. It has occurred to me that there may potentially be some stunning photo opportunities, and some not-so-stunning ones. So now I need a new camera. The last camera I had was over three years old before it started to crap-out so I'm thinking another Nikon Coolpix (In Plum). I would love to have a camera to take pictures with again. Oh how I miss photography...
It will also help me out whenever I need to take my own reference pictures (No more borrowing from friends) which is much of the time. So I have something new to add to my wishlists!!
